MILITARY SERVICE: The world governments use the military services to protect their goals and interests. These are the institutions of man and would involve allegiance or obedience to their principles, which would contravene God’s laws: IE do not kill, Exodus 20:14; Love your enemy, and do good to those who hate you Matthew 5:44, Rather, we are to “resist not evil” Matthew 5:39. Engaging in military service would put us at odds with the commandments of Christ and force us into a position where we may be working against the purpose of God, and possibly against Christ’s disciples in other countries. The world governments and systems are to be destroyed by Christ: Daniel 2:44. Hence we ought to take the position of ‘conscientious objectors to military service’.
However, we are not pacifists: i.e.: we do not deprecate war as such, for such will be necessary to establish the Righteousness if God in the earth: Revelations11:15, 19:11. But this points to a time in which Christ’s servants will work to establish righteousness.
